Yellowstone Teeter & Colby Stars Speak Out On Bunkhouse Split

Following the midseason finale of Yellowstone season 5, some stars have aired their feelings over the moves made in that episode. In fact, Jen Landon and Denim Richards have spoken up about their characters, Teeter and Colby, being separated in part 2 of the fifth season of the hit modern Western.
Yellowstone season 5 and the brucellosis outbreak

In the recent midseason finale of Yellowstone season 5, John Dutton (Kevin Costner) had a hard decision to make. In order to attempt to save his cattle from the brucellosis outbreak, he decided to divide the bunkhouse. One group would then be sent to Texas for the winter in the hope of saving some of his herd. That midseason finale saw Rip (Cole Hauser), Teeter (Jen Landon) and others saying their farewells as they prepared for their move.
In fact, Teeter and Rip accompanied Jake (Jake Ream) and Ryan (Ian Bohen) on their mission to save Dutton’s cattle.
Kevin Costner spoke on Paramount’s Behind the Story, empathizing with his character John, saying:
John understands that a single cow ending up with a disease can result in the whole herd being destroyed.
Meanwhile, the episode’s director, Christina Alexandra Voros also spoke up. She said, “The challenges that the Dutton family are up against right now are forcing their hand.
They have to send a contingent to Texas to keep the cattle alive. They have to send JD back to Helena.
Meanwhile, John has his own problems to attend to. This is especially with the looming battle from Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) to have him impeached.
Not everyone is happy about the bunkhouse split

While the exit twist does make sense in the storyline, not everyone was happy about the move. This is a huge talking point right now, not just with fans of the show, but also with the cast.
On the same episode of Behind the Story, Colby star, Denim Richards said, “Half the bunkhouse has to take a trip,” adding:
It’s kind of like, dang, now what?
Bohen spoke up, saying “So everyone’s gonna [sic] have to do their job from a distance.”

Meanwhile, Forrie J. Smith said his character, Lloyd, will also find this difficult, adding:
Here I am, like whoa. Lloyd’s gonna [sic] have a lot on his shoulders.
However, while several stars are worried about how their characters will deal with the temporary exit, Landon, who plays Teeter, shared her own thoughts. She said, “I think in terms of Teeter and Colby, I was bummed knowing that we would be separated.” However, she did add there is a nomadic lifestyle that comes for these people.
Meanwhile, though Landon is “bummed” about the midseason twist, the plan is already underway with Rip and the others already setting off.
Yellowstone fans who are upset about the storyline will now have to wait until part 2 of season 5 drops at some time in the summer of 2023.
