Our soap opera spotlight this week shines on Days Of Our Lives actors Bill Hayes and Susan Seaforth. Married both via their characters Doug and Julie and in real life, the two remain a beloved soap super couple. And recently, Bill and Susan shared a sweet reunion on Instagram.

Days Of Our Lives Bill Hayes And Susan Seaforth Reunite With Co-Star

A family reunion! To the delight of their Instagram followers, Bill Hayes and Susan Seaforth just shared a special reunion photo. And they wrote, “Thanksgiving family reunion! How happy are we to see #PeterReckell back in town? Sooooooo happy!”

But the enthusiasm of these Days Of our Lives stars didn’t end there. Because they added, “Catching up with Salem’s #1 Bo, and his real life wife, lovely Kelly, was a holiday highlight. Representing a multitude of Days fans- we showered those people we love with love. The future is bright- stay tuned, baby! ❤️⏳”

Fans responded with cheers. For instance, one wrote, “Great photo❤️❤️❤️.” And another shared, “Love this. If Peter is back I may have to subscribe. I’m still so far behind .” 

Bill Hayes And Susan Seaforth Celebrate Days Of Our Lives Family

And the super couple’s Instagram celebration hints at more reunions to come on Days of Our Lives! As Bill and Susan noted, Peter Reckell (Bo) recently announced his return. Joining Peter: Kristian Alfonso (Hope). And Reckell has hinted that the duo plan to tape something extra special, noted TV Line.

But the Days Of Our Lives reunions don’t end there. Watch for Victoria Konefal (Ciara) to return to her role as well. And Steve Burton heads back for his role as Harris Michaels. Burton first played that role in 1988, then stepped into Harris’ shoes again for Season 2 of Beyond Salem.

And whatever actors come and go on Days Of Our Lives, Bill Hayes and Susan Seaforth promise to stay there for all their days. As the couple looks back on 50 years and 5,000 episodes, they shared their tips on a website, Secrets of Soap Opera Lovers. After kissing on TV on July 23, 1970, it took only four years for them to fall in love and tie the knot on October 12th, 1974. 

And since enjoying the delights of marrying a second time as Doug and Julie on Days Of Our Lives on October 1st, Bill and Susan feel confident they know the secrets to a “happy and fulfilling relationship.” For instance, Bill makes sure to kiss Susan every evening before they head to bed. And Susan feels she knows all the secrets to keeping her marriage healthy after almost 50 years.
