Yellowstone actor Kevin Costner has just turned 68 and we have to say he is aging very well. In fact, Costner opened up to fans, telling them not to “believe what they say about getting older” in a sweet message.
Yellowstone lead Kevin Costner on turning 68
Kevin Costner has shared a sweet message to Yellowstone fans on the occasion of his 68th birthday. He shared a wonderful image of him sitting on his step with a broad, natural and lovely smile on his face, while clad in a cowboy hat, polo shirt and faded jeans. Can we hear a collective sigh?
The Dances with Wolves actor shared a message of encouragement with his 998,000 Instagram followers about aging. In his caption, Costner wrote:
Don’t believe what they say about getting older. Each passing year is a gift, and it gets better and better with time. Thank you for the birthday wishes.
Like some lucky men, the Yellowstone star gets better looking as the years go by. This led to his followers and former costars filling his post with messages, including Brecken Merrill, who plays his grandson in the hit modern Western series. Brecken wrote:
Happy birthday to the coolest tv grandfather and legendary coworker a kid could ever have! I hope there’s cake on your plate tonight.
Meanwhile, co-star Cole Hauser dropped a comment, writing, “Happy bday!” Meanwhile, a follower quipped, “Did anyone else read that in John Dutton’s voice? Happy birthday Mr. Costner! Hope it’s a great one for you!!” Excellent question!
How did Kevin Costner spend his birthday?
While the actor didn’t disclose how he spent his birthday, he most likely shared it with his wife, Christine, and their sons, Cayden, 15, and Hayes, 13, and daughter Grace, 12.
Besides his children with his current wife, Kevin has daughters Annie, 38, Lily, 36, and son Joe, 34, with his former wife Cindy Costner. Moreover, he has a son, Liam, 26, with his ex-wife Bridget Rooney.
Meanwhile, Costner opened up in November about his family life, describing himself as an “everyday family man.” He said he loves his role as a “provider” and “father.” He said at the time:
When I’m not making a movie, I’m living and on the freeway with my wife, getting the kids to their stuff or I’m waiting for them to come out of a party. I’m just twiddling my thumbs. People have a wrong idea about how my life works.
In fact, the Bodyguard star insists he is “trying to figure out” parenting, just like any other mom and dad, saying:
You’ve got to get down on the ground and play with them, and you teach them to be independent – and the sad part about that is they become that. I’m like any other parent: I’m trying to figure it out.
Happy birthday, Mr. Costner! Wishing you many more, plus many more episodes of Yellowstone along the way!
