Henry Cavill to get a ‘heroic sendoff’ during The Witcher season 3

Much to many fans’ disappointment, Henry Cavill will star as Geralt of Rivia for one last time in season 3 of The Witcher. However, showrunner, Lauren Hissrich has promised that the third season will be a “heroic sendoff” for the popular character.
In a recent interview with EW, Hissrich said they didn’t realize the significance while filming Cavill’s final season of the Netflix show. However, despite this, she does believe that the season will give him “the most heroic sendoff,” adding:
Henry has given so much to the show and so we want to honor that appropriately.
Season 3 is from the novel Time of Contempt
Many fans believe Henry Cavill quit the role as Geralt of Rivia due to the series’ storyline. In fact, Cavill has always said that he would remain with The Witcher as long as the script follows the books.
Reportedly, the Superman alum was originally a fan because he was a gamer and familiar with the video came. However, when Henry spoke to Hissrich about his role, he learned about Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski’s work. He then quickly read all the novels and stories about The Witcher and, since he got the role, has been sure to follow them on the set.
Why is Henry Cavill leaving The Witcher?

Despite the rumors, Cavill left the series in late October, where his earnings were reported to be $8 million per season. Meanwhile, Liam Hemsworth is set to replace him in the coveted role. The actor sent a message to fans on his Instagram, captioning it:
As with the greatest of literary characters, I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam’s take on this most fascinating and nuanced of men.
Liam, good sir, this character has such a wonderful depth to him, enjoy diving in and seeing what you can find.
While fans believed Cavill left the show over the script, Hissrich tried to crush that idea. She explained that the story of season 3 is from the novel, Time of Contempt. This means it was not the reason for his leaving. Moreover, season 3 of The Witcher is the closest they have done as a “one-to-one adaptation of the books.”
The Witcher fans will now have to wait and see what happens when season 3 premieres.
