The Walking Dead season 11 finale
The AMC zombie drama, The Walking Dead has run for 11 seasons over 12 years. Now, while admittedly there will be spinoffs in the TWD universe to enjoy, the origin story is over. However, fans are in for a treat as the show will get an extended goodbye on AMC.
Currently, there are two episodes to go, and prior to Sunday’s episode titled Family, AMC will air an hour-long making-off special. Meanwhile, the TWD finale episode is set to air on November 20. Titled Rest in Peace, the finale will get a red carpet treatment at a live event in Los Angeles. First, the TWD: Red Carpet Live pre-show will air on AMC and AMC+.
This will lead to the TWD finale episode Rest in Peace to be followed by a live post-show Talking Dead. At this event, Chris Hardwick and a number of special guests will discuss the episode. They will also let fans know what to expect next in the TWD franchise. All in all, the series finale will have a 90-minute runtime instead of the normal 60 minutes on AMC.
