The latest exciting trailer for season 5 of Yellowstone has shattered records as being the most-watched trailer. Everyone already knows the modern Western series is tops and with UK viewers added, continues to grow in popularity. However, when a network releases statistics on views of a trailer, the anticipation is clearly huge.
Paramount Network recently experienced record-breaking views of its season 5 trailer. Meanwhile, the teaser trailer kicks off with John Dutton (Kevin Costner) being sworn in as governor.
Trailer shatters records
According to Paramount, the latest trailer for season 5 of Yellowstone hit the top with 14.4 million views. Meanwhile, it also had 1.7 million engagements within the first 24 hours of its release on September 29. Reportedly, this is three times as many organic views, and six times more organic engagements when compared to the season 4 trailer.
Meanwhile, the trailer drew more than 30,000 mentions on social media, which is four times that generated by the season 4 trailer. Moreover, according to Deadline, the Yellowstone season 5 teaser was shared 190,000 times on social media. On top of this, the trailer ranked on TikTok and Facebook as the number one and two most-watched videos that day.

What will Yellowstone’s John Dutton do now he is in office?
There is no doubt that fans are excited about the fact that John Dutton is now governor of Montana. In the trailer, he teases a number of things he is planning in his new government role. Those beneath him, criticizing him for being sworn in as governor are instantly fired. On top of this, John adds his daughter Beth (Kelly Reilly) to his staff.
Meanwhile, a new Dutton foe is added to the mix in the fifth season, played by Jacki Weaver of Silver Linings Playbook fame. Reportedly, the character has set her sights on destroying Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly), which can only get truly interesting.
