Sylvester Stallone Reveals He Never Exerted Himself More Than In Tulsa King

Tulsa King

Tulsa King spoilers and updates tease that the new series premieres on Paramount on Sunday, November 13th, 2022 after the season 5 premiere of Yellowstone. Having been filmed in Oklahoma, Sylvester says the filming was very long, difficult, exciting, and mind-blowing. Even though it was a long time away from home, he says it was worth it and he was thrilled to work with an outstanding cast.

Tulsa King Spoilers – Never Worked So Hard? But Did He?

Stallone says he has never worked so hard as he did in Tulsa King but fans have a hard time believing that when thinking about films like Rambo and Rocky. Yet, Stallone was younger then so maybe it his age that made it harder this time around because he puts so much of himself into his film to make them hits. Stallone is a rags-to-riches story. He was a struggling actor and things got so bad that he ended up homeless and trying to sell his dog at a liquor store because he couldn’t afford to feed it anymore. Stallone sold the dog for $25, but he didn’t let that crush his dreams. He worked harder and one day sold the script for Rocky and the rest is history. The first thing Stallone did when he had enough money, buys his dog back and it cost him $15,000. That in itself is hard work, to come from rags to where Stallone is today. Seems like he has just forgotten how hard he has worked.

Tulsa King Spoilers – Life Changing

Stallone says that Tulsa King is life-changing for him and he would certainly know about that. Stallone plays the mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi and after being released from a 25-year prison term, he is sent to Tulsa, Oklahoma by his mafia boss. Realizing that not everyone has his best interest at heart in Oklahoma, Manfredi builds an empire of his own with a bunch of unlikely misfits. This story is definitely about a fish out of the water, a NY mafia capo who knows nothing about Tulsa which is considered Indian Territory.

At first, Tulsa King was to take place in Kansas City and was reworked to take place in Tulsa, Oklahoma instead. It seems like Kansas King would have had a completely different vibe.
