Sylvester Stallone Admits Tulsa King Was Extraordinary And Life Changing For Him

Tulsa King spoilers and updates tease that Taylor Sheridan is the co-creator and is bringing a load of talent to the new crime drama. Sheridan is not for writing the screenplays for Hell or High Water, Sicario, and Wind River. The showrunner for the series is Terence Winter, who is best known as a producer and writer for The Sopranos and The Wolf of Wall Street. Tulsa King already looks like it is going to be another smash hit for Sheridan and Winter.

Tulsa King Spoilers – Sylvester Stallone

This is not the first mafia crime drama for Stallone, back in 2002 he co-starred with Madeline Stone in Avenging Angelo where he played a mafia boss’ bodyguard. And, Stallone fans will recall that Stalling missed out on the chance to be an extra in The Godfather, he was denied because he wasn’t “the type of guy.” Tulsa King will be the very first TV show for Stallone. In an event promoting the new series, Stallone said that he wanted to play Manfredi because he was a different kind of gangster, a fish out of water. And, he describes his mafia crew that he puts together in Tulsa, a family of misfits. Stallone posted a video on his Instagram and said, “What we came up with is something extraordinary and life-changing for me. This was a very long, difficult, exciting, mind-blowing production. Thought it was a long time to be away it was worth it to work with fantastic talent in front and behind the camera.”

Tulsa King Updates – The General Manfredi

Tulsa King premiered on Sunday, November 13 on Paramount Plus with two episodes back to back. Here is the official synopsis: “Tulsa King follows New York mafia capo Dwight ‘The General’ Manfredi, just after he is released from prison after 25 years and unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a “crew” from a group of unlikely characters, to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that to him might as well be another planet.”

The city is Tulsa, the drama is the Tulsa King, the latest series for Paramount+.
