Johnny Depp’s Attorney Camille Vasquez Defending Yellowstone’s Q’orianka Kilcher In Fraud Case
Reportedly, Yellowstone star, Q’orianka Kilcher, is in a legal battle with the state of California. Meanwhile, the claim is related to two felony counts of workers’ compensation fraud. Now, Johnny Depp’s talented attorney, Camille Vasquez has said she will represent Kilcher in the case.

Readers will recall that Camille Vasquez took her client, Johnny Depp to victory in the $10.35 million defamation suit against Amber Heard. She is now turning her talents to help Yellowstone star Q’orianka Kilcher in her legal battle against the state of California. Kilcher was charged with two felony counts of workers’ compensation fraud earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Vasquez, who joined the legal firm Brown Rudnick LLP in 2018 as a litigation attorney, was offered a partnership following her big win for Johnny Depp. She will work alongside Steve Cook, another partner at the firm. Their focus is related to white-collar defense investigations.
Taking the Kilcher case
Speaking to Fox News Digital, Vasquez and Brown said they are “determined to defend” Kilcher in the case. Meanwhile, the case was filed by the California Department of Insurance in July. Moreover, the case claims Kilcher collected disability payments while working on Yellowstone, despite claiming she was too injured to work.
In a statement, Vasquez and Brown said:
We are determined to defend Ms. Kilcher in this important case which examines the inherent flaws in the disability compensation system.
Ms. Kilcher is a well-respected and pioneering actress in Hollywood, and we intend to clear her name.
According to sources, Kilcher is 10 percent disabled for the rest of her life after being involved in a car collision almost four years ago while working on set. According to the state of California, Kilcher received more than $90,000 in disability benefits.
Meanwhile, they claim she misrepresented her injuries to medical providers. The medical claim states that the Yellowstone star “allegedly injured her neck and right shoulder while filming Dora and the Lost City of Gold in October 2018.
Moreover, the claim states that Kilcher continued to seek treatment for her injuries. However, they say she stopped and didn’t respond to the insurance company handling her claim. Meanwhile, Kilcher apparently contacted the insurance company a year later after she had been offered work. However, she told them she was unable to accept the job due to her severe neck pain.
Reportedly, Kilcher started receiving “temporary total disability benefits” shortly after this. Moreover, despite telling a doctor that she had been unable to work for a year, investigations revealed she was working on Yellowstone from July 2019 to October 2019.
Kilcher returns for season 5 of Yellowstone
Despite the ongoing drama with the state of California, Q’orianka is returning to Yellowstone for the upcoming fifth season of the Taylor Sheridan show. She will resume her role as attorney Angela Blue Thunder in the series.
