Grey’s Anatomy and Killing Eve star Sandra Oh was recently in London, where she attended the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. In fact, the actor, 51, was proud to represent Canada at the sad event. Read on to find out more about Oh’s trip to London and her reasons for being there.

Most of the world is still in mourning right now, following the death and state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. In fact, the funeral was aired live all over the world, while crowds in London followed the event.

However, it also turns out that Killing Eve and Grey’s Anatomy star, Sandra Oh, was at the sad event. In fact, she said she was proud to represent Canada at the funeral. The actor who played Dr. Cristina Yang shared a series of images from the funeral and London on her Instagram. In fact, Oh attended the Queen’s funeral as part of the Canadian delegation.

Oh, 51, was pictured inside Westminster Abbey alongside other recipients of the country’s national honors. In fact, she appeared alongside other members of the Order of Canada, musician Gregory Charles and Olympic gold medallist swimmer, Mark Tewksbury.

Moreover, the Grey’s Anatomy alum captioned the images:

In the images, the Killing Eve star wore a simple black dress from Mayfair-based Isabel Roksanda, with a matching hat by Rachel Trevor Morgan.

According to the BBC, Oh was invested into the Order of Canada in June, for her “artistic career filled with memorable stage, television and film roles in Canada and abroad.”

Besides Sandra Oh, Canada’s delegation was led by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau. Meanwhile, the delegation also included Governor General Mary Simon and other former Prime Ministers and Governors-General.

Meanwhile, it also included members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, as well as representatives from the Canadian Armed Forces. Moreover, the delegation joined personnel from other Commonwealth countries at the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

Fan-favorite actor Sandra Oh was born in Canada to Korean parents and has received Emmy nominations for her role as Dr. Cristina Yang in Grey’s Anatomy. In fact, she was part of the original cast of the Shonda Rhimes hit when it first aired in 2005 until she left in 2014.

Meanwhile, Oh also received a nomination for her role as MI5 analyst, Eve Polastri in the thriller series, Killing Eve.

Moreover, among the celebrities at the event were adventurer Bear Grylls and actress Sophie Winkleman. Winkleman is known for her role in the series, Peep Show and is married to Lord Freddie Windsor.

Season 19 of Grey’s Anatomy premieres on ABC on Thursday, October 6, at 9 pm ET.
