The Amazing Race Season 34 Spoilers: Derek And Claire’s Road To TAR

The Amazing Race season 34 is back and returns on September 21st at 10:00 pm ET on CBS with fan favorite host, Phil Keoghan on CBS.

This year there will be twelve teams including reality sweat hearts, BB alums Derek Xiao, and Claire Rehfuss from BB23.

The Amazing Race Spoilers – The Long Road

Derek and Claire met when they were both contestants on Big Brother 23. While in the house, nothing really happened between the two of them, and there was no visible showmance. Unfortunately for the two, they were a part of a history-making season where the Cookout alliance was formed and America’s first black winner was crowned. Not being a part of the powerful alliance, the two had no chance of making it to the end.

Once Derek and Claire arrived in the jury house, that is when the sparks started flying and they really started connecting with each other. Claire told US Weekly, “We would stay up late talking every single night and we just really developed a bond. The absolute best thing to come out of the most stressful [three] months of my life.”

After revealing to the world that the two were a couple, back in late October of 2021, they proceeded with moving in together this year and relocated to the west coast.

The BB alum is watching the present season of BB and really hopes that they can stand up for Taylor when BB24 ends, along with everyone else, and not give the awful HGs a pass for their mistreatment and abuse towards her.

The next chapter for these two has already started with their west coast move, and now they are going to globe-trotting to Munich, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Spain, Iceland, Jordan, and Nashville.

The Amazing Race Spoilers – Twelve Teams

Joining Derek and Claire in the race are former New York Jets and Buffalo Bills head coach and ESPN football analyst Rex Ryan with his golf buddy and probation officer, Tim Mann. Father and daughter Linton and Sharik Atkinson, military brothers Marcus and Michael Craig, former Rams cheerleaders Quinton Peron and Mattie Lynch, and motivational speakers Rich Kuo and Dom Jones. Aastha Lal and Nina Duong, childhood sweethearts Abby Garrett and Will Freeman, ballroom dancers Aubrey Ares and David Hernandez, long-lost twins Emily Bushnell and Molly Sinert, newlyweds Glenda and Lumumba Roberts, Firefighter and dancer Luis Colon and Michelle Burgos.

Claire is not only a fan of Big Brother and The Amazing Race, but she is also a huge fan of Survivor. She is the co-founder of a game called Survivor Michigan. It’s a filmed version of Survivor that includes students from the University of Michigan. And, she has been seen posting a picture of herself wearing a Survivor buff and immunity necklace on her social media. The question is, will Survivor be the next thing for this BB showmance?
