Stranger Things Star Joseph Quinn Recalls Being Detained At US Airport

Joseph Quinn famously plays the role of the new, fan-favorite character Eddie Munson in Stranger Things. However, with his cropped hair and English accent, not everyone immediately recognizes the actor. In an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Quinn opened up about his initially scary experience on arrival in the US.
Joseph Quinn and season 4 of Stranger Things

English actor, Joseph Quinn was a welcome addition to season 4 of the Netflix series, Stranger Things. In fact, he played the oddball character Eddie Munson on the show, where he literally went through hell.
Due to his popularity, the Stranger Things star was invited to appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He received much cheering from the audience, who were no doubt surprised to hear his English accent. However, he went on to talk about a bad experience he had on arrival on US soil.
Joseph Quinn detained at US airport

The season 4 star of Stranger Things tends to be recognized virtually everywhere he goes. However, in the case of the airport, some fans took a while to recognize Joseph Quinn as Eddie Munson.
Quinn went on to explain to Jimmy Fallon about his odd experience with US Immigration at the airport. The actor had traveled to the US to guest star on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, but nearly didn’t make it. Quinn told Fallon:
I very nearly didn’t make it. I was taken into, I guess what you could call it, was more of a dungeon.
And I was asked to wait there for about 20 minutes and then I was summoned to this desk where someone asked me, ‘What are you doing in the United States, sir?’
When Joseph explained that he was meeting Jimmy Fallon and starring on The Tonight Show, the immigration guy didn’t believe this one bit. However, his colleague looked at Quinn and casually told him, “Leave Eddie alone.”
The colleague went on to explain, “It’s Eddie from Stranger Things,’ and the immigration guy then asked, “You’re Eddie Munson?”
It turns out the immigration officer is a big fan of Stranger Things. However, he had only one question for Joseph. This was a question that likely every fan would love to ask but already knows the answer to.
The officer asked, “Do you come back next season?” To which Joseph honestly replied, “I don’t know.” The officer responded, telling Quinn, “You better,” while handing him his passport.
Is Eddie Munson likely to be in season 5?

While Joseph was surprised about his popularity on the show, fans truly want Eddie Munson to return for season 5. However, this is unlikely to happen after his terrible experience in the finale of season 4. Eddie may have developed a reputation for running away from problems. However, in that episode, he chose to stand up and ended up dying while trying to save his friends.
The only way for Quinn’s character to return in the new season would be part of a flashback sequence. However, while miracles do sometimes happen on Stranger Things, his chances of survival look bleak indeed. But, hey, Jim Hopper survived the cliffhanger from season 3, so maybe miracles can happen again.
