Law & Order spoilers and updates tease that Claire Coffee is joining the cast of the show in the upcoming 22nd season. Fans may recall the actress from her role as Adalind Schade in Grimm.
Coffee is set to appear in at least one episode in the upcoming season. Not much has been revealed as to what character she’ll be playing, but rumors say that her alter ego is a lawyer.
Law & Order Season 22 Cast
Sam Waterston will be joining Coffee as District Attorney Jack McCoy. The actor, who appeared in projects like Grace and Frankie and The Newsroom, is by far the most tenured cast member of the show.
Other Law & Order veterans are also joining the show. These include Camryn Manheim OF The Practice, Jeffrey Donovan of Burn Notice, Hugh Dancy of The Good Fight, and Odelya Halevi of Good Trouble.
Unfortunately, Anthony Anderson won’t be joining the cast of the upcoming season. Because of his absence, fans have started to speculate as to who would be the new partner of Frank Cosgrove (Jeffrey Donovan).
There’s still no news as to who would fill in as the new detective. Fans will just have to wait for further updates.
Law & Order Release Date
NBC has announced that Law & Order season 22 will be released on Thursday, September 22. The original series will air before its spinoffs, Law & Order: SVU and Law & Order: Organized Crime.
Law & Order Plot and Trailer
NBC has yet to release an official synopsis for the upcoming season. Given that it’s a crime procedural series, fans can expect to see new episodes every week where detectives try to solve crimes while the district attorney’s office prosecutes the offenders.
Molly Burnett Joins Cast of Law & Order: SVU
Elsewhere in the Law & Order franchise, Days of Our Lives alum Molly Burnett has joined the cast of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The actress is set to play the role of Detective Grace Muncy in a recurring capacity in the show’s 24th season.
The details released about the new character are very limited. However, TVLine reported that Burnett’s character is “smart, blunt, and attractive.”
Burnett’s acting credits, aside from Days of our Lives, include Queen of the South, True Blood, CSI: New York, General Hospital, and Major Crimes.
