While filming season 5 of Yellowstone, Kelly Reilly left the set for a moment to talk about the upcoming season 5. Reilly said how much she has missed playing the character of Beth Dutton. Fans last saw her character, Beth Dutton, who will do anything to help her rich father, John Dutton (Kevin Costner). Moreover, this is especially so when helping John to keep their ranch.
Kelly Reilly is happy to be back filming Yellowstone
It feels like a long time since fans watched the record-setting season 4 finale in January. Like fans, Kelly Reilly told TV Guide Magazine (via TV Insider) that she missed being on the show. In her recent interview, she said, “I’m so excited to be back.” At the time, she was marveling that there is still snow on the mountains in Bitterroot Valley in May. However, despite the snow, fans should be ready, as things are likely to heat up on Yellowstone.
Meanwhile, Reilly has read all the first six scripts of what is to be the longest season yet of the Paramount hit. Reportedly, season 5 will have 14 episodes, split into two volumes and will premiere on November 13.
Hints for season 5 of Yellowstone
According to Kelly, Beth will be going into this feeling pretty good about everything. In fact, she is confident that things are going to be better looked after. One reason for Beth’s optimism is that her adoptive brother Jamie (West Bentley), the acting attorney general, is under her thumb.
Fans will recall that in the season 4 finale, Beth cornered him to shoot his biological dad, who had ordered a hit on the Duttons. Meanwhile, she then took a photo of him dumping the body.
According to Reilly, a bit of the early dynamic between them is coming back to the show, where they will be working together. In fact, her character and John are using Jamie to do things they would not normally be able to do. In fact, they need him to work for the family, which Kelly describes as being “like working for the mob.”
Reilly confirms that her former boss, Caroline is back in season 5 and she has friends. In fact, they understand exactly what the Duttons are doing and they won’t take it lightly. However, fortunately, Beth and John have a loyal ranch foreman in Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) in their corner
More teasers for season 5
According to Reilly, Beth and Rip are enjoying their union as season 5 starts. She says, “They’re in a beautiful, solid place.” In fact, she says there is something magical for her now that he is finally her husband. However, while marriage is a wonderful thing for Beth, he hasn’t tamed her. Meanwhile, it also hasn’t made her more likely to let orphan Carter (Finn Little), who is staying with them, call her “Mama.” According to Reilly, that is “opening Pandora’s box.”
Currently, fans can stream seasons 1 to 4 on Peacock. Meanwhile, season 5 of Yellowstone is set to premiere on November 13 on the Paramount Network.
