Big Brother Spoilers: Even BB Winners Have Regrets
Big Brother spoilers and updates tease that season 24 is nearing and with that, BB fans and alums have a lot to say.
Big Brother Spoilers – Regrets, I Have A Few
BB fans will recall that in season 16 Derrick Levasseur won by a vote of 7-2. Derrick’s strategy in winning the game was to get himself into some alliance; The Detonators, Team America and he had a final two deal with Cody Calafiore who was the runner-up in season 16 and later returned to the Big Brother house to win season 22, the alliance was called The Hitmen. But Derrick wasn’t leaving the final two deal to chance, he made a second final two with Victoria Refaeli, who never won any seasons, fans blamed it on her lazy and quiet game. Derrick is considered one of the greats in BB history, and not a wonder, he was more alliances; the Bomb Squad, Los Tres Amigos, and The Rationale. In fact, Derrick has often been compared to other BB greats, Dr. Will Kirby who won season 2, and Dan Gheesling who won season 10 and was the runner-up in season 14.
Derek, a police officer – Sargeant in RI, had three strategies going into the house. First try to find common interests with as many houseguests as he could, second use the information he learned about the houseguests against them, and third, if he wins HOHs or POVs, make some big moves. One interesting fact about Derrick’s gameplay, he was never nominated for eviction!
In an interview with Entertainment weekly, Derrick talks about his one big regret and it involves Cody, who he had the final two deal with, “My biggest regret is not winning that final HOH. I would have loved to have taken him, won the game, and then have people not have to turn around and say, ‘Oh, Cody’s an idiot.'”
Big Brother Updates – What Is Derrick Up To Now?
After Big Brother, Derrick launched a private investigator company called, Break Investigative Group, and has a successful TV and podcast career. He also had another daughter, she is now six years old and his first daughter is 9 years old. The true-crime podcast is called Crime Weekly.
I also host a podcast called The Winners Circle, which is about reality TV, and it’s with Cody Calafiore. That comes out during Big Brother. We always interview the houseguests when they get evicted.
One thing Derrick would love to see from Big Brother is the season of all former winners, “For me as a competitor, that would be pretty cool to go against the best and see where I stack up.”
