Stranger Things fans have waited patiently for Stranger Things Season 4 Part 1 to drop. Season 3 came out July 4th, 2019 which was almost 3 years ago so it would come as no surprise if a refresher course might help you to remember how Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) was able to once again save Hawkins, Indiana but only after Billy Hargrove (Dacre Montgomery) broke free of the Mind-Flayers’ control and sacrificed his own life to save Eleven, as well as the west of the gang. Billy’s younger step-sister, Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) had never gotten along with Billy, but she took his death really hard. By the time all of the Upside-Down’s Monsters were either driven back or destroyed, Star Court Mall was in total disrepair, and Jim Hopper (David Harbour) died, although his body disappeared . The very last scene reveals that Jim was actually alive, but apparently being held captive somewhere is Russia!
Stranger Things Recap – The Byers Left Hawkins to start over in Lenora, California
Eleven now went by the name Jane, and went to live with the Byers family. But Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) had finally had enough of Hawkins and moved her family, including Jane to California. The Upside-Down was believed to be destroyed but unfortunately, a new monster called the Desecrator began killing teenagers who couldn’t seemed to carry a large amount of guilt on their shoulders from past trauma. Troubled but popular Chrissy was being stalked by the Desecrator who finally made his move while Chrissy was buying drugs from Eddie Munsen (Joseph Quinn). Eddie could not see the Decsecrator but watched in horror as Vickie levitated several feet in the air and her bones broke and contorted before she landed back on the floor, very much dead.
Stranger Things – As the body count rises Eddie Munsen goes into hiding!
It wasn’t long before Eddie was named the prime suspect. Max lived across the street from Eddie’s trailer and she witnessed Vickie arrive. Not long after she saw a terrified Eddie escape from the trailer. So Max sought out old friends Dustin Henderson (Gatan Matarazzo), Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) and Robin (Maya Hawke). Both Dustin and Max were certain that Eddie was innocent, so they decided to find Eddie and offer their help while finding finding and putting an end to the real killer. Max was glad to be back among her friends because she was being stalked.
Stranger Things Recap – Time runs out for Max!
Max knew her time was almost up so she wrote letter to all her loved ones to be read if she didn’t survive. The last letter she read to Billy at his gravestone. That was the moment the Desecrator chose to claim Max and feed on her guilt, She would have died had Robin and Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) not learned that Max might live if she can focus on her favorite song. Dustin finally found the correct cassette tape, hit play and put the headphones on Max’s head. Kate Bush’s Running up that Hill saved Max’s life. She created a mixed tape with the song on repeat and Max was saved.
