However, all along, Matalas has shared images of the bridge and other sets of a Starfleet ship. That ship is set to be a major part of the third season. Fans will remember that at the beginning and end of season 2, USS Stargazer was pictured. This led to them believing that Stargazer will be the main ship for the new season.
Meanwhile, over the weekend, a fan asked Matalas about the video showing the start of season 3. They asked him, “Should we take this to indicate that the Stargazer is a part of season 3?”
To this, Terry responded, saying “That is not the Stargazer” adding a smirking face emoji. The guy sure knows how to tease.
That is not the Stargazer. 😏

Obviously, the return of the main Star Trek: The Next Generation cast is also a mystery. Fans want to know what role Brent Spiner will play after Data was put to rest in the first season of Picard. Matalas responded to questions, saying Spiner will be playing a different role.
Basically, the fan wrote, “Data is dead. Like thoroughly. They’ve killed him twice. Brent Spiner will be starring in #StarTrekPicard season 3. Therefore, Brent Spiner will either be playing: A. Yet another Soong, or; B. Lore is the antagonist in season 3. Let’s hope it’s B.”
Matalas’ cryptic response was, “Or C.”

One fan asked Terry if we will “get to see Laris and Jean Luc together during season 3. The showrunner cryptically replied, saying, “Yes. But…”
