MacGyver may be at its end as far as CBS is concerned but fans are getting a boost as the series will not be leaving fans empty-handed.

MacGyver: Where to Get and Stream Series
The MacGyver reboot series ran on CBS from September 23, 2016, and ended on April 30, 2021, for a total of 94 episodes. The collection will be released on DVD, from Lionsgate, on June 14 and you can pre-order it here.

MacGyver – Exploring Lenkov-verse
MacGyver starred Lucas Till as Angus MacGyver, George Eads as Jack Dalton, Tristin Mays as Riley Davis, Justin Hires as Wilt Bozer, and Meredith Eaton as Matilda Webber. The MacGyver reboot was developed by Peter M. Lenkov who also developed the reboots for Hawaii Five-0 as well as Magnum P.I.
According to Pop Culture, all three series take place within the same universe and have been referred to, collectively, as the Lenkov-verse. Shortly before the series’ cancellation, the show’s star Lucas Till sat down with Reel360 to discuss his feeling about the show coming to an end.
MacGyver – Heartbreaking Zoom Call, Saying Goodbye
“Honestly it was such a difficult experience in so many ways,” Till told Pop Culture in April 2021. He referred to MacGyver as “the most magical and formative experiences” he’s had. He added that because of his experience in the series his work ethic is different.
“I approach things completely different as an adult,” Till said, adding that it was sad they would not be returning for a sixth season. The 31-year-old actor continued, discussing some of his poignant goodbyes including to showrunner Monica Macer.
“Of course we are never going to say goodbye forever,” he added, intimating that it was a “wonderful group of people” and that they all got along as family. “It was a pretty heartbreaking Zoom call.”
MacGyver – Till Reminisces about Embarrassing Moment
Then Till shared a funny story about MacGyver set life with the publication, saying that there was an episode where he had to wear a pressure suit because of where he was going. He said he had to wear a motorcycle helmet and pads with a big suit underneath all that.
“I had to wear a zip up ‘onesie.’ It was so hot,” he said, before revealing that he asked a coworker to unzip the suit. “I totally forgot that I wasn’t wearing any underwear.”
He concluded, saying “She did and I was [like ‘No.. don’t go that far.’]. I was like ‘Oh my God.’”
