Big Sky spoilers and updates reveals Supernatural fans are thrilled with the latest news that actor Jensen Ackles, who played Dean Winchester in the long running CW series, will be returning to TV. Ackles has been added as a series regular to ABC’s Big Sky alongside Sopranos actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler.
Jensen Ackles is set to make an appearance in Big Sky’s season two finale. Ackles will play the character Beau Arlen, a sheriff who comes to town as a favor for a friend. That friend is Sheriff Tubb (played by actor Patrick Gallagher).
Ackles Will Team Up With Jenny
Ackles’ character is described as “a confident and charming good ol’ boy from Texas who steps in as temporary Sheriff (and Jenny Hoyt’s new boss) as a favor to his friend Sheriff Tubb.” The Texas native will then go on to appear in the entirety of season 3.
A teaser trailer for what lays ahead has been released. In the trailer, Jensen Ackles’ character Beau can be seen meeting Jenny (Katheryn Winnick). The two discuss the cartel. Her reminds her that they will be working together before a scene of them out in the woods is shown. Jenny is then seen with Travis later while Cassie (Kylie Bunbury) tries to talk down Scarlett (Anja Savcic).
ABC Teases Big Sky’s Season Two Finale
According to ABC, fans will see an action packed season two finale. “In a struggle between head and heart, final resolutions are made as Jenny works to find Travis before he reaches a dangerous point of no return; meanwhile, Ren and Jag find a new familial bond and decide together how to handle their father now that he’s crossed a serious line. After receiving a startling surprise from Scarlett, Cassie changes the course of her quest for justice forever. Later, with Tubb out of commission for the time being, a new sheriff comes to town; and after getting fully acquainted with Cassie and Jenny, it seems like he may just stick around for a while.”
Aside from his upcoming role in Big Sky, Ackles just wrapped work on The Boys. The series will premiere in June with Ackles in the role of Soldier Boy. Big Sky’s season two finale with air on Thursday, May 19.
