Supernatural alum Jensen Ackles guest stars in ABC’s Big Sky
Jensen Ackles is set to guest star in the finale episode of season 2 of Big Sky. Meanwhile, in the finale, titled Catch a Few Fish, Jensen plays Beau Arlen. ABC describes Ackles’ character as a “confident and charming good ol’ boy from Texas who steps in as temporary Sheriff (and Jenny Hoyt’s new boss) as a favor to his friend Sheriff Tubb (Patrick Gallagher).”
According to ABC, the finale will feature a “struggle between head and heart.” Final resolutions are made as Jenny works to find Travis before he reaches a dangerous point of no return. Meanwhile, Ren and Jag discover a new familial bond and together, they decide how to handle their father after he’s crossed a serious line.
Moreover, after Cassie receives a startling surprise from Scarlett, she changes course in her quest for justice. With Tubb out of commission for the time being, a new sheriff (Ackles) comes to town. Jensen Ackles update
Known for his role as Dean Winchester in The CW’s Supernatural, Ackles joined the cast of The Boys in season 3 as Soldier Boy. Meanwhile, he is also the principal of Chaos Machine, a first look production company under Warner Brothers.
As noted by Deadline, Warner Brothers on Tuesday picked up the Supernatural prequel series The Winchesters for The CW. In the prequel, Ackles will act as the narrator. This spinoff is to tell the “epic, untold love story” of how Sam and Dean’s parents, John (Drake Rodger) and Mary (Meg Donnelly} first met. It will also reveal how they put everything on the line to not only save their love but the entire world.
Meanwhile, Jensen is also working with Greg Berlanti on an untitled DC project. He also recently directed an episode of Walker on The CW.
