Kardashian Family Sound Like Mob In ‘The Sopranos,’ Say Fans!
Remember “The Sopranos”? Well, apparently Kardashian family fans do. And when they viewed Hulu’s new teaser for the KUWTK spin-off, “The Kardashians,” fans caused comparisons to go viral. But one quote in particular resulted in hilarity. “Never go against the family,” warn Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian. As a result, Twitter lit up with jokes about that comment.
For instance, one wrote that Hulu’s trailer for “The Kardashians” sounds like a “mob movie talking about never go against the family!” And others agreed. “The Kardashians think they are the mob?” chimed in another.

But the jokes about the family’s new show also poked at the KUWTK clan’s wealth. For instance, one fan proposed that Kim Kardashian should star in a different spin-off. Anyone want to see a show forcing Kim to work for minimum wage in the retail and service industries for 12 months? And how about calling that show, “Sweeping Up With The Kardashians”?! (We vote yes!)

Fans of the KUWK clan also enjoyed contrasting the Kardashian family with characters from “The Sopranos.” For instance, one Twitter follower wrote, “The Kardashians or the Corleones?” And others agreed about the parallels.

On Reddit, the KUWTK community mocked the tone of the new “Kardashians” trailer. For example, one critic questioned, “I’d like to know why they’re acting as if they’re the Calabasas mafia???” And another chimed in. “I was thinking the same thing. I’m watching The Sopranos right now and was feeling a cross over: ‘No one goes against the family.'”
But one person went further, suggesting that Khloe Kardashian use that parallel to trash cheating baby daddy Tristan Thompson! “Right?!? When everyone kept repeating to never go against the family, I half expected a scene with Khloe telling Tristan he’s going to sleep with other wo…I mean…the fishes,” joked the fan.
