Daniel Radcliffe Says NO WAY To ‘Harry Potter and The Cursed Child’ Movie

Daniel Radcliffe Says NO WAY To 'Harry Potter and The Cursed Child' Movie

Daniel Radcliffe recently revealed that he’s not interested in doing the film adaptation of “Harry Potter and The Cursed Child.”

The book “Cursed Child,” written by Jack Thorne from a story co-created by J.K. Rowling, shows the storyline of the adult Harry, who spends his time working at the Ministry of Magic, and his son, Albus Severus Potter, who ventures Hogwarts for the first time.

The avid fans of the fantasy series were expecting for a film adaptation of “Harry Potter and The Cursed Child” anytime in the future when the director, Chris Columbus, told Variety his eagerness to reunite the iconic characters, such as Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint to do a movie.

Daniel Radcliffe Gives ‘Harry Potter’ Movie Update

Earlier this year, the popular students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint, came together for HBO Max’s “Harry Potter” reunion special.

Fans were happy seeing the trio together again, but Radcliffe quite spoiled the moment when he gave an update about the film adaptation. “This isn’t the answer that anybody’s going to want, but I think I was so able to go back and enjoy it because it’s not a part of my day-to-day life anymore,” he said.

The 32-year-old actor also revealed that he will not refuse the idea of a “Harry Potter” movie but it won’t happen anytime soon. “I’m never going to say never, but the ‘Star Wars’ guys had like 30,40 years before they went back. For me, it’s only been 10. It’s not something I’m really interested in doing right now,” Radcliffe told The New York Times.

Daniel Radcliffe Talks About Sandra Bullock

In other news, Daniel Radcliffe is in the middle of promoting his upcoming movie “The Lost City,” in which he co-stars Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum.

He plays the role of Abigail Fairfox, a young billionaire who kidnapped the romantic novelist, Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock), to help him look for the hidden treasures in the lost city, which Loretta has represented in her latest book.

When asked about his experience working with Sandra Bullock, the “Harry Potter” star revealed that he was a huge fan of the award-winning actress, and it was a great experience to work with her in a movie.

“I grew up watching her movies and I grew up as a fan of her so to be working with her was very, very surreal, and slightly intimidating but luckily she’s lovely, so that went away pretty quickly. It was awesome,” Radcliffe said.

The Lost City opens in theaters on March 25.
