5 Easy And Cheap DIY Halloween Costumes For The Ultimate ProcrastinatorYou procrastinated, you’re strapped for cash, and Halloween is less than a week away. Your kids have been talking about costumes and Trick-Or-Treating for weeks, and now it is crunch time. There are hundreds of thousands of Pinterest boards dedicated to last minute DIY Halloween costumes for your kids, and it can be a bit overwhelming. Lucky for you, we put together a list of some of the easiest and cheapest DIY Halloween costume ideas out there.

A Baby

Obviously this won’t work if you kid is a baby, but it’s super cute when your 10 year old dresses as a large baby. All you will need is some footie pajamas, a bib, a bonnet, a bottle, and maybe even a pacifier. For a final touch, you can have your “Big Baby” carry around a Teddy Bear or a blankie.

A Nerd

It’s a total cliché, but the traditional Nerd Halloween costume is always super easy to put together when you are crunched for time, and most of the items you need you can probably find lying around the house and won’t have to purchase them. A button-up shirt, suspenders, a plaid skirt for girls and slacks for guys, and some geeky glasses bring the costume together quickly. If you really want to sell it, you can carry around some text books.

This costume is always a cinch if you have athletes in the house. Some football pads and an old jersey work great, some sneakers and a jersey are really all you need to pull off the Athlete costume. Then just carry around the piece of sporting equipment of your choice. A tennis racket, a soccer ball, a bicycle helmet, etc.

Bag Of jelly Beans

This is probably one of our favorite DIY costumes, because it’s too cute and super affordable. All you will need is a clear trash bag, a sharpie marker, and a bag of balloons. Cut arm-holes and leg-holes in to a trash bag and then blow up all of your balloons, you don’t want large ones. Fill the bag with balloons and then tie the top around your neck with a cute ribbon or scarf. On the back of the bag you can draw on some nutritional facts or a Jellybean logo.

FBI Agent

A sharp black suit, black shoes, black sunglasses and some slicked back hair can transform your son or daughter in to a pretty tough FBI Agent in record time. And, if you want to take it a step further, you could even give them a squirt gun or nerf gun to carry around. Just, think Men In Black.
