Travel Hacks for Traveling with Kids

Travel Hacks for Traveling with Kids

You know that if you travel with kids, they are bound to slow you down. However, with just a few travel hacks, vacation time with the kiddos can go a lot smoother. Here are some great travel hacks for traveling with kids.

Roll instead of fold

Packing clothes for the whole family can take up quite a bit of space. In order to save some space, instead of folding clothes, try rolling them instead. This makes it all convenient and compact.

Lint roller

If you are heading out on a road trip with the family, you can pretty much bet that your car is going to get full of crumbs in no time. Instead of having to stop and vacuum out the car, use a lint roller instead. Lint rollers are perfect for picking up crumbs from seats and floors.

Phone charger

If you forget to pack your cell phone charger and you are staying in a hotel, look behind the television in the room. Most of the newer televisions have a USB port, which you can use to charge your phone.

Baby gear

The last thing you want to do when traveling is to lug around baby gear like strollers and portable cribs. Leave all that at home and rent them instead. Many cities and towns have rental agencies for baby gear.

Empty water bottle

You can’t bring liquids through airport security and buying water inside the airport is rather costly. Instead, bring an empty water bottle or two and you can fill them up at one of the water bubblers.

Snack bottles

You know those liquid coffee creamer bottles? Well, did you know that they make excellent snack bottles. When the bottle is empty of creamer, fill it up with vinegar overnight so the creamer smell comes out. Then, wash it out and allow it to dry. You can fill it up with snacks for the kids like pretzels.
