Homemade Crescent Dogs Recipe

Homemade Crescent Dogs RecipeThere are some things that are just better homemade and that includes these Homemade Crescent Dogs. Not only is this recipe easy to make, it is delicious. Kids and adults, alike, go crazy for these homemade crescent dogs. Making things from scratch hasn’t always been my strong point, but these are s-i-m-p-l-e.

Make them for the kids’ lunches or on the weekends when you don’t want to do heavy cooking. My family asks me frequently to make these Homemade Crescent Dogs and I oblige. I can’t say no because they’re one of my favorite too. Don’t miss out on making this homemade dish.

Ingredients
8 carton package of hot dogs
8 carton package of crescent rolls
4 shish kabob skewers, cut in half
mustard or ketchup for dipping
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Open the package of hot dogs and remove from the package.
  3. Open the package of crescent rolls and gently separate and unroll each crescent.
  4. Insert one shish kabob skewer into each hot dog and set aside. Repeat.
  5. Gently roll each hot dog up in a crescent. It doesn’t have to be perfect, simply wrap it up and then place on a baking sheet.
  6. Repeat, wrapping each hot dog.
  7. Bake for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown. My oven tends to run hot so mine were done around 12 minutes – any longer in my oven and they would burn so keep an eye on them.
  8. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, ketchup or mustard.
