Ingredients
  • 2 T. Sea Salt
  • 1 T. baking soda
  • 1 T. Coconut Oil
  • 2 tsp. Coconut extract
  • 8-10 drops lemongrass essential oil
  • 2 T. Castile soap
Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl stir together sea salt, baking soda, coconut oil, extract, and castile soap until completely mixed. If you like your scrub a little wetter just mix in a bit more castile soap or coconut oil.
  2. Add lemongrass to your desired scent strength, stir to combine.
  3. Transfer homemade foot scrub to a small jar with a tight-fitting lid.

To use:

Apply firmly in a circular motion to damp feet, rinse away and pat completely dry.

If you use your scrub in the shower or bath the coconut oil will make the floor slippery, be sure to rinse your surface with hot water to rinse it away.

  1. I bet that smells amazing. I get regular pedicures so I don’t make this kind of stuff very often, but think I will try this one for sure.

  2. I’ve been completely enamored with anything coconut this summer. This DIY foot scrub sounds like it would smell good enough to eat! lol I know my feet would really appreciate a little pampering like this after a long summer in flip flops!

  3. My foot becomes dry because of the summer weather and it’s always nice to have something to moisturize and exfoliate it, like this scrub! Thanks for the recipe.

  4. I love making homemade scrubs because you basically have control over the ingredients that you like to add. I have a lot of essential oils at home and I’d love to give this recipe a shot!

  5. I have a sensitivity to baking soda, at least in natural deodorants, so I wonder how this might work. I love the idea of making a scrub at home. Maybe I can substitute the baking soda for arrowroot powder.

  6. I love making scrubs & any other skin products on my own as homemade recipes could be more natural anytime. Lemongrass is one of my favorite scent and could be a great one with the combo of coconut oil for my foot.

  7. I love making scrubs! I love that you can even use the different scented Castile soaps as well. Definitely a great way to capture the last days of summer with these ingredients.
